Aber würde alles wahr,
Dann wär´ es um die Welt,
Glaubt es, jämmerlich bestellt!
Wolltet ihr die Welt verbessern,
(Bloße Wünsche tun es nie,
Spiele sind´s der Phantasie!)
Wolltet ihr die Welt verbessern,
Fange jeder an bei sich,
Denn der Mittelpunkt der größern
Welt ist jeglichem sein Ich.
