Wie manchmal ward ich tief empört
In meinem Sinne durch so manchen -ismus,
Doch heut´ greif ich, wenn mich was stört,
Getrost zum blanken Aphorismus.

Und paßt es diesem oder jenem nicht,
Was ich gebracht aus der Erfahrung Schätzen,
So sag ich ihm gelassen ins Gesicht:
Ich will mich wehren, aber nicht verletzen.
