Der satte Reichtum hat´s ausgedacht,
daß Armut niemandem Schande macht.
Die Schlemmer lehren am vollen Tisch,
wie Salz und Brot hält die Wangen frisch.

Die Tauben gurren vom Dachesrand:
"Nehmt lieber den Sperling in der Hand!" …
Und die Dummen faßten den Mehrheitsbeschluß,
daß stets der Klügere nachgeben muß.
